Bare Sheep...
100% natural wool yarn available by the skein...ready for your dyepot!
Pre-soak the yarn like you would wool fabric to help the dye absorb evenly and efficiently. To avoid “felting” the yarn do not stir vigorously while in pot. After dyeing, with gloved hands, gently squeeze out water. Either allow to cool or rinse in water that is the same temperature as the yarn is. DO NOT wash in washing machine or dry in dyer! I simply rinse after dyeing by running a small amount of water into my washing machine, turn off the machine and soak….DO NOT agitate. Then I drain out the water and SPIN. If your machine can’t be adjusted this way rinse by hand, squeeze water out and roll in a towel. Hang to dry
This is the same 3ply yarn I dye for finishing, hooking and weaving rugs...strong and durable!
Each skein is 100 yards.
On average 1 yard of yarn will whip 3 inches of binding. Dye the whole skein or wind off just enough to dye for a special project!
